Lizzy Thurlow is a student at Brainerd High School. Her two platforms are promoting Healthy Heart and the American Heart Association. She also supports the Miss America Platform
Children's Miracle Network.

Hope Livdahl is a Freshman at BSU from Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.
She is promoting The American Cancer Society and Relay for Life.
In addition to her two above platforms, all three ladies will be raising money for Miss America's national platform Children's Miracle Network. I look forward to seeing Hope at work this summer with all three groups.

Here is the thank you we created for the gracious sponsors. These are some amazing young women. Did you know that a big part of being in the Miss America Pageant is having a platform? This is a charitable cause of some kind. You all know how much I love that idea! In my next few posts I will be highlighting each one of these lovely ladies and what they are representing.

I don't think you can live in this town and not know who this talented man is. He is an amazing artist. I had the task of taking a new headshot for his website. Talk about intimidating! How do you capture a fellow artist? The depth in his expression in this image was just what I was going for.
