Family Portraits: If not now, when?

These days we all live such fast paced lives it's easy to make excuses for not getting a family portrait taken. We are always going to lose that extra weight, or do it later. The next thing you know, your babies are young adults, everyone moving in different directions at a million miles an hour. There is hockey practice and piano lessons.

The point is this: there is never a bad time to get a family portrait.

My very own family never took the time to have a family portrait taken. Somehow we always found a reason not to ever  have  done. Now that my mother has passed away, that opportunity is no longer available.

Above is  the only family picture I have in my possession.
(above left) Although it is a prized, it doesn't make for such a great wall portrait.  Do you think I would have care how much my mother weighed? Or what her hair style looked like?
